Lecture Notes for ECON 156: Poverty and Inequality

These are the lecture notes for my Georgetown undergraduate course ECON 156. The notes complement and update the textbook (The Economics of Poverty, EOP). The notes are in the form of PowerPoint slides–well over 1,000 in all!. Rest assured, I have never covered all of this in a one semester course of about 30 lectures. The trimming I have done is only within each segment, keeping the same basic structure. (Note that ECON 156 does not cover Chapter 6 of EOP. This is the subject of a separate course I teach on impact evaluation using more advanced methods.)

During the Fall Term of 2020 I will progressively upload the files on this site.
